3D Builder: Autonomous 3D Printing Robot

3D Builder: Autonomous 3D Printing Robot

Royal BAM Group, a Dutch contracting company with international scope, has developed a freeform 3D robotic printer that drives autonomously and prints on its own. “3D Builder,” as it is called, uses caterpillar tracks to drive itself along, and an interchangeable print head assembly. It uses the D-shaped method of 3D printing, and can print with concrete or stone. It can also recycle it’s own waste products. It officially went into service at the beginning of June, in Amsterdam at FabCity, an urban innovation symposium.
